how do i remove shifter from the center console in a 2007 suzuki XL7?

trying to remove shifter but dont know how to remove center console. I looked up on google but it says to remove the seats from the car. Is it necessary to remove the seats from the car?

no, you just need to move them back and forth to acess the screws that hold the console. why are you removing the shifter??
