A garage just did timing chain kit. The car runs great but codes keep coming back. Tried oil flush sensors still no luck. Should we try crankshaft sensor? Checked timing in second bank and was good. Any help would be great.

For the P008 it may be the timing chain is not right or not all were changed or a tensioner is worn out. P0017/18 is cam /crank sensors are not in sync with each other. This can only be fixed by a mechanics professional scanner. It is kind of like the engine is out of time best way to explain it.

The whole kit included all three chains and tensioners. The mechanic went back and checked his marks on the second bank and they were right. The car runs good just the codes wont stay cleared. We are running out of ideas. If the timing chains were off would the car still run good? We flushed the oil again and the codes stayed off for a day ran about 75 miles then light came back on. He has changed the sensors just not the crank sensor. Any ideas?

A mechanic scanner can sync this they cost anywhere from $4,000.00 - $5,000.00. What I gave you as an answer what was on our tips page. He will have to recheck his work.
