My car was low on oil. No oil light came on but was making a noise. I put oil in but the noise is still there. I put in two quarts. Could there be something else wrong I dont know when the last oil change was. Do you think I need one. Or do you think its something major? PLEASE HELP ME ASAP.

When an engine is making noises its always a major thing-I recommend you check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge to rule out the oil pump and engine bearings-start here

If in doubt have it towed, it may save you thousands if the oil pressure is low, driving may destroy the engine.
