Hi,

My 2007 Subaru Tribeca engine gets hot (near red) when in stop and go traffic. Engine temp. is fine otherwise. Coolant levels are Ok, and no visible leaks, although I do get a faint smell of coolant at times when shutting the engine off. I suspect the fan, thermstat, or head gasket. Any ideas?
