2007 Subaru Outback key/bell reminder

If I cut the wires to the bell/chime reminder to take my keys, will it stop the "bell" and not affect anything else besides the interior lights?

Most likely will effect other things. Those modules serve multiple purposes and are usually monitored by the Body Control module too..
