Hello. I have a Scion tC with approx. 37,000 miles. I have recently noticed 2 things that I'm not sure where they might originate from, but one of the problems is that when I start the car it kind of jolts abruptly. The second problem is that when the car is idle, it shakes. It's not a violent kind of shaking. It's a bit mild, but it's noticeable. From what I have been told, the problem might be the motor mounts, but I was looking for other opinions to confirm what I have been told. Thanks.

It could be motor mounts. If they are worn, you will feel more vibration from the engine. As far as the idle, is the engine maintaining an idle?
