what would cause me to not get much heat in the cabin of the car?

The temperature gauage is at normal and gets thwere rather quickly as it should, but the air coming out of the heater is not near hot enough.

You need to see if both the heater hoses going into the fire wall are getting too hot to touch.Let me know what you find.
