my daughters saturn ion, has a noise that you can only hear while sitting inside the car. when outside with the hood raised you cannot hear it. while idling it is not present but when you rev the engine a bit you hear a tone. ?? has anyone else experienced this?

you could use a long screw driver to track down the noise on the engine sounds like you have a engine noise.
