2007 Saturn Aura odometer goes up too fast?

when I go 5 km it says I go 8.5.. I just got the car and the kms seem to go up faster than they should.
what could this be? there is snow here but I'm hardly spinning out

Check your tires size and compare to tire fitment label inside drivers door jamb area.

Check the transmission output shaft speed sensor wiring. Could have a pinched or chaffed wire.
