My car has just started doing this - when I start it or am sitting idle at a stop light the heater goes to cool instead of staying warm but goes back to warm when the car is in motion. No warning lights come on - what can this be?????

It sounds like you have a coolant leak, I would wait until the engine is cold then check the level, here are two guides to help us fix it.

and

Please go over these guides and report back.
