Steady engine tick

just a tick loud enough to notice from inside the car doesn't happen all the time and oil looks and feels clean all fluid levels are good and there are no engine lights coming on. Its a steady tick and tempo does not speed up when accelerator is pressed its a 2007 Pontiac G6 GT 3500 V6. It starts a little bit after the car is started. When I turn it off and start it up again, it doesn't do it anymore sometimes.

squirt water on the blet and see if it changes it. if it does replace the belt and tensioner. have a pro listen to it for his opinion.
