my car battery died today

my battery died and i had it jumped, i really need to drive to work but im scared it might die again, But i have to go to work which is 45 minutes away. Will my car make it?

It matters what caused the battery to go dead. If it did it once, it will do it again. If the battery is bad, it SHOULD stay running with the alternator. However, it may not restart. If the alternator is bad, it won't keep enough power in the battery and the engine will die. You need to get the car to a parts store and have them check both for you. Most will do it for free. You can check it yourself at home with a volt meter. Directions are on our homepage under the DIY section. Let me know if you have questions.
