2007 Nissan Sentra Crunching/Popping Sound

Hello,

Recently, I had bought a 07 Nissan Sentra. For some reason the car will make a a crunch/scraping sound when going over bumps. The strut mounts were bad but had been replaced, but the noise is still there. It will do it a little when braking as well. The front end checks out, and the only thing that was noticed was the cv boot is torn. It will even pop when you go over a big enough bump. On normal driving it will be quiet, but will make the crunching sound once in a while. Any ideas? It also has brand new tires

if the boot is torn replace the axle because all the lube has gone out of it. check your strut mounts on top they may be worn. the piece that mounts to the strut before mounting to car. and check wheel bearings.

The Strut mounts are new, and the hubs are good as it held an alignment, so it must be the CV Axle.
