when accelerating at speeds above 50 km and above the car can shudder .. but can be corrected if you go easy on the pedal ???? It is like the car is loosing power to accelerate .

If it is from the engine, that would mean misfiring and could be due to lack of fuel (pressure or volume), spark plugs or related components. Is the Malfunction Indicator Light showing?
