When I turn the dial to 4 wheel drive, the truck stays in two wheel drive and the light blinks on the dash but don't stop?

Hi,

If the light is flashing, that is simply to indicate there is an issue. The problem can be the result of a few different things. First, it could be the 4wd switch in the vehicle, a wiring issue, the shift motor, different tire sizes, and so on.

The easiest thing to check is tire size. Confirm that all 4 tires are the same size. If that is good, next confirm the switch is good.

If you look at the attachments below, they provide the diagnostics for testing the 4wd switch.

Here is a link you may find helpful when testing:

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
