We just bit the big one and replaced the transmission and radiator through the Nissan dealership. My husband has driven it about 500 miles if that and it is overheating, gunk in the radiator again. Nissan garage claims it needs a new oil cooler hose that this is the problem now for around $350 I get this odd feeling we are being ripped off. The first problem was never fixed. Now this. Is this a valid problem and shouldn't this been addressed when they replaced the radiator and transmission?

They should have checked the system when the transmission was replaced with radiator. Gunk in radiator can be from the engine or cooling system instead of the transmission. I don't see what an oil cooler hose has anything to do with gunk in the radiator and overheating.
