Sometimes when I have the clutch pushed in at a stop sign or light, my engine will rev up high, like 3000 rpm or more. Does this in neutral also. Only does it when it takes a notion, but it has been getting more frequent.

check for a vacuum leak that may be causing it other wise clean throttle plate on both sides and iac hole with choke cleaner
