Check Engine Light - "P0431 Warm up catalyst deterioration 2" code detected by Diagnostic test on 2007 Mitsubishi Pajero 3.8L V6.

Mechanics here (Philippines) are rather vague about what the solution is since they are more familiar with diesel.

Can someone please inform me of proper solution to the problem?

check for a failed O2 sensor for cyl2/3, failed converter for same, exaust leak or a pcm problem. We don't have the pajero model in u.s. so this is from a gallant. But should be the same.
