I've detached the calipers and caliper housing but the rotors won't budge. I've sprayed penetrating oil around the housing. Using a hammer, I've beat the front of the rotor and the rear of it. The hub assembly nut doesn't need to be taken off does it?

Nope. Floating rotors. See image. Penetrating oil around the hub flange and lug studs should help.

Smack with the hammer flat in between each wheel lug stud going around a few times until it loosens up.
