Engine sounds

I have a mini copper s i think its the 2007 model & when i start the car the engine makes a fast rattling sound , after a few seconds it goes away , but the more elevated my car is parked the louder the noise is when i start it. ive recently had my engine oil done.

Check the engine oil level. Did they use the correct weight oil?

I also Have a 2007 S The noise is from the timing chain tensioner. Have had it replaced on mine. It is a very common issue with the 2007 and newer S models, Not so much with the justas (Coopers)
