I have a 2007 mazda 6s. Over the weekend my main car key was stolen. I'm wondering what it would cost to replace the locks and\or ignition system. I have a back-up car key for now but i'm really running blind here on everything that would need to be done

The security keys are pricy, about 300. You also have to have it programmed. Check with the dealer. A lock smith is another possibility but I think it will be more expensive.

Would I have to replace the locks though to make sure that wherever my stolen key is that it wouldn't be able to access my car? How much would that cost if so? Would I have to do anything else?

If you feel safer, yes. It will be costly as you have to replace the door locks and the rear deck.
