I bought a new battery for my 2007 Sportage on February 23rd the dealer inspection report stated that it was less than 50% of its capacity. I’m still experiencing the problem of my engine not turning over when I tried starting the car this morning. What else could be the cause of this issue?

It is a weak battery causing the problem. Thw weakness could be due to a bad battery, malfunctioning charginr system or a parasitic drain in the system.

Have the charging system tested.
