Hi,

My Picanto is making noises whenever the window is either cranked up or down. Sounds like a dry noise so I took it apart to see if it can be lubricated or something but found no where to grease it. Noise seems to originating from the crank mechanism that connects to the crank handle.

Can you please advise if anything can be done to cue this annoying noise issue?

Many thanks.

You can apply a spray grease onto all moving parts, but it will probably need replacing if you find this is not helping.

Hi,

Thank you for the info. I previously did open the door covers and tried some grease on the tracks but there is no access to grease the actual cranking rotor.

I will also prefer to install a power window. Do I need to replace the whole door for that? On ebay there are conversion kits but if I install using the mechanical rotor, I fear it will still make noise.

The mechanism can be lubed with a spray on type lube, but normally if they start to get noise and hard to wind, it is time to replace the regulator.
