2007 Jeep Wrangler Heater core

I bypassed the heater core until I can get funds to change it but the bypass hose gets really hot coming from the thermostat housing what could be causing this. It has a new thermostat also.

I don't know what the issue is here. It's supposed to get hot. That's where your heat came from.

Thanks for the reply! Yeah I figured it should get hot! Is it suppose to be really hot as you can't even touch the hose. Would that be normal?

Considering the coolant can run as high as 230 degrees, yes.

Great! Thanks I just don't want to make something else go out or burn up something considering I am a female doing all my work myself so all of my knowledge is coming from u tube and the Internet. LOL doing good so far!

Make sure the hoses for the bypass are not kinked anywhere so the coolant can still circulate.
