It is negative temps here as well as snow and ice on roadways and is not normal for this part of the country. Since the temps have dropped my ETC light will come on for a second and go right back off while driving. I do experience a slight hesitation. I have not had any loss of power or problems breaking. I was wondering if you could advise where to start looking for the problem as it appears that the ETC light can mean anything from a dirty throttle body to a vacuum leak to a bad sensor to a computer problem.

We will need to know if any fault codes are set, there are a few things that can cause this, so a scan is the best way to start a full diagnosis of your problem.

YOU CAN GET THIS DONE AT A POPULAR AUTO PARTS STORE....AND USUALLY FOR FREE!

BRING BACK THE ACTUAL CODE NUMBERS (EXAMPLES: P0442. PO308).....NOT THE GUY'S OWN INTERPRETATION, LIKE: "IT'S YOUR EGR!"

I got the scan done...turns out it was the throttle body actuator. It had carbon build up that had gunked it up and the below zero temps were making it stick. A $5.00 bottle of throttle body cleaner, a little elbow grease and all is well in the world. Thanks for all of your help!
