what is the normal break life of a 2007 jaguar xjs v6?

how often should the breakshoes be replaced. because right now we are having them done every 20,000 miles to us this seems like a very short break life and wonder if we are getting riped off.

The only way to tell is by inspection or follow the owner's manual scheduled mmaintenance
