Key locked in ignition

I have a 2007 fx35 with a remote starter (non factory). It has perfectly for more than 2 years. Today I started the car using the remote, went outside and put the key in the ignition, turned and the car stopped running. The key seems to be electronically locked in the ignition. I can't turn it back to the position to remove the key. Help!

I could not find much information in our database regarding the key interlock system. When problem occurs, it seems the shift or key interlock is preventing the key from being turned and removed.

Check all fuse underhood and underdash.
Ensure the P indicator light is showing when ignition is turned on.
