When I turn the key in the ignition, the lights come on but the car won't start.

This sounds like fuel pump or a crankshaft angle sensor that is going out. Here is a guide to help you see which system has failed.

Thanks for the guide. I did some checking and found the crankshaft sensor was not outputting. Once I replaced it the engine fired right up. I love this site! Here is the sensor location.
