I have found some on Amazon but the number do not match what is on the motor of the regulator I took out of our honda. The number on the motor is 609280. My question is where can I order the right 2007 honda element window regulator?

Amazon has this part which is a common problem with these cars. Here is a video and the part below for $123.00 I think the dealer gets about $650.00 for the job

After replacing the motor assembly for the power window, auto close allows the window to go all the way up (closed) but then comes back down to about 1/4 open position. Can you help? What did I do wrong? Thanks

Try rolling up the window and holding the button up for 10 seconds to reprogram the windows

My power window fell off track. We got the panels off and down to the lift mechanism but we don't understand how it works.

Hi elzash,

Carefully lower the glass (A) until you can see the bolts, then remove them. Carefully pull the glass out through the window slot if you want to remove the glass. Take care not to drop the glass inside the door.

If you wish to adjust, the glass can be adjusted after removal of the bolts.

I know where I can get the regulator part, however I do not know the correct tools that I will need to complete the repair myself? Is there a list of tools that should get the job done? I have heard that you mainly use a screwdriver and torque wrenches, is that correct?

Usually a screwdriver and a 10mm socket with a ratchet. If you have a socket set better yet.

What do you do if your window is stuck in the up position before you start replacing the regulator?

First check for power to motor from switches and then to motor. If motor is getting power, but does nott work it may be a bad motor.

This has been an on-going issue, can't get the electric window to go up. I don't think I've even seen it not go down. Usually I've been able to get it to go up by fiddling with both the drivers & passengers side switches on the drivers side. However this time it's down and not moving. I've had both switches (drivers & passengers) out and poured some alcohol in them while activating the switches to no avail. I've been able to locate a junkyard switch for the drivers side for $35-40 but no response yet on the passengers side switch. I think what I could really use is a schematic so I could at least get the window rolled up unless of course it's a motor issue. From reading about people with apparently similar problems I do NOT hear the motor running so I'm assuming (yes indeed, I do know how it's spelled 8-) that the issue is not the cable tearing out of the wind-up sheave. Thanks, Dave Cannell

The passenger window regulator is broken, you need to replace the regulator. Here is a video that shows you how.
