2007 Honda Civic engine lag?

Ok so i have a civic si with k&n short ram intake, dc sports headers, and invida q300 exhaust. I have some insane engine lag going on and it happens in every gear. If im in 4th gear going 35 and try to step on it a little bit the rpms will rise but i wont get any acceleration. Now the only way it runs fine is if i start off fast and keep the rpms high. And it will go all the way up to redline if i let it but just wont go anywhere. Help please!

Since the rpm's go up when you step on it, let's assume (without me being able to check it out) that the engine is working fine sounds like the clutch is slipping (if it's a manual trans.), or that the trans is slipping (if it's an automatic). Keep me posted.
