GF Car problem

My girlfriend has a 07 honda civic. It is makeing a squelling (sp?) when she backs up or first takes off. When she hits her breaks it stops, and if she moves the stearing wheel it dose not stop. She has checked her oil and breaks, and there is not a check engine light.

Re check the pads as there is often a small metal wear tab that will squeal if the pads are low, the pads may look fine, but the tab may just be touching causing the noise, check this first.
