Burning oil

My 2007 Honda Accord SE is burning lots of oil. What could be wrong?
40k miles, just bought as certified used from dealer. No visible leaks. Burning more than 1 qt every 1k miles. EEK

At 40k miles the engine should be considered almost new and there is no reason for it to be burning oil.

Most common causes of oil burning would be bad valve seals and/or oil rings but Honda engines are known to last so I would go for the valve seals.

Try using some seafoam which might help to restore something.
