2007 Accord EX 4 cyl-- at rare intervals, once a month or so, when I come to a stop at light or to park the idle RPM does not drop to the normal 700 or so, but stays above 1,000, or over 2,000 if I shift to park/neutral. Have to jam my foot on the brake to keep car from lurching forward. Has done this since day 1. So far cannot duplicate at dealer--- apparantly no service bulletins. Safety concern, esp. with inattentive driver. Any ideas?

Have them check the idle air control motor (IAC). It maintains the idle speed. Keep in mind, it is considered an emissions component and will fall under the emissions warranty if you are still under 50K miles.

Let me know what you find.
