07 GMC 4.3 L V6,Dash Display- engine hot,AC is off.temperature hand falls to bottom.Checked under hood no steam,not boiling over....any ideas....

Have this truck scanned and you will probaly come up with a p0128 code, what it means is that your Thermostat is not working correctly and the PCM has taken action ie:hot/ac off and usaully turns the electric fan on. I have started to see this problem on few GM trucks and cars, The fix is a new T-stat and you must clear the check engine light and should return to normal after T-stat replacement.
