i have a ford mondeo 20 litre ghia which will not start. when i turn the key in the ignition the central locking starts to click and the instrument panel remains dead although some of the systems come on and off intermittantly such as the fan heater and the internal light

YOU CAN TRY THIS 1ST.....THIS IS SORTA THE DRILL SERGEANT APPROACH, MOST PEOPLE NEED A LITTLE PUSH....IT'S HARD TO PUSH FROM HERE!

SNATCH THE BATTERY OUT AND HAVE IT TESTED ON A MACHINE....I DON'T KNOW YOUR LOCATION, AROUND HERE, POPULAR AUTO PARTS STORES WILL DO IT FOR FREE

ONCE YOU DO HOPEFULLY GET IT RUNNING....A ALTERNATOR/GENERATOR TEST MAY BE IN ORDER ALSO..... AROUND HERE, THE AUTO PARTS STORE WILL DO IT FREE ALSO (STILL ON THE CAR)

THIS NEXT TEST MAY SORTA HELP IN DETERMINING BATTERY AND ALTERNATOR/GENERATOR CONDITION (WORKING OR NOT).....KEEP IN MIND THIS IS ONLY A VOLTAGE TEST, IT WILL NOT "LOAD TEST" THE BATTERY
....THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE AT THE AUTO/ OTHER STORE/SHOP
