I have a 2007 Ford Fusion. Yesterday the keyless pad wouldn't open the door nor would the key turn the lock to open it. I have someone to come and they got the door open and they charged and jumped the battery. This worked fine, I went to work and 5 hours later the same thing happened. Do I need a new battery? Could something possibly be draining the battery although everything shuts down when you cut the car off?

First, have the battery charged and then load tested. Most parts stores will do it for free. From that you will determine if the battery is bad. If it is good, then you need to check for electrical draws. Go to our home page under the DIY section for directions.
