Why does my 2007 Ford F150 die all of a sudden at an idle. It makes a knocking noise right before it dies. Right after it dies it turn on again and run fine for a while

The knocking noise is usually and indication of a severely lean fuel mixture so the engine is likely running out of fuel. Check your fuel pressure and monitor it while this happens.
