I have a 2007 ford explorer EB.2wd 4.0l my climate control dial for fan speed only works on speed 1, 2 and 4. When I turn to 3 the speed stays the same as 2. Help

Suspect BLOWER MOTOR RESISTER

Removal and check

Remove the two 4X4 control module screws.
Disconnect the blower motor resistor electrical connector.
Remove the 2 blower motor resistor screws.
Remove the blower motor resistor.
To install, reverse the removal procedure
