First check for a blown fuse for the memory circuit. It will usually be tied in with something else that is always hot and isn't working now such as interior lights, horn, or cigarette lighter. If the fuses are good, you are better off with a used one with a warranty from a salvage yard. Since 1998 models, Ford will not let me buy radio service manuals or parts because they know they will make more money from you when you have to go through the dealer and use their authorized repair centers. Dig out your wallet. Just be real happy you don't have a GM product. Theirs cost as much as a car payment to have repaired.
