The engine in my car got flooded with water so I need a new one. Im looking at one from an 05 sebring same engine 2.7l dohc 24 valve but is fwd instead of rwd will it work in my charger both have 8th digit vin "R"

What has happened that you need to replace the engine? Normally we drain the oil if necessary, and if the engine was running and water got into it, we remove the spark plugs, then crank the engine to spit the water out.

I can't speak to switching between rear and font-wheel-drive, but you might look into going to a 3.5L engine. In other models that is a direct swap that retains the same Engine Computer. Chrysler made a lot of really tough engines over the years. The 2.7L isn't one of them.
