2007 Dodge Charger Cabin Filter

I'm trying to replace the cabin filter & when I take out the cover on the intake under the hood. It doesn't have a slot for the filter.

If it doesn't have a slot there, then the car wasn't equipped with a filtter. Many weren't although this model is showing one.
