Dome Lights inoperable

About 2weeks ago i noticed that my dome lights and radio stayed on when i got out of my car. On the dashboard it does not show the driver side door open, so i have been just opening the passenger door to turn the car off. Well now my car will not stay charged and will not crank up. The car still has some power but not to start car. Once car is jumped it works fine but dies a hour are so after driving it. Does anyone know what this is?

Hello,

This could be due to faulty ignition switch.
Have you had remote start or alarm installed?
As many times aftermarket components interferes with factory systems.

You also mentioned the car shuts off after a little while. You might want to get the alternator tested. As many times faulty alternator will make the car stall.
