rear hatch closes but the lights stay on, what do I do?

I have a 2007 dodge caravan, the rear hatch opens and closes fine but i keep getting the door ajar warning light and the interior lights will not turn off, is there an easy fix to this?

You could have a faulty rear latch switch.
