What does it mean if clicking noise is heard and if i could save my engine?

When I start and drive my car i hear clicking . I had a oil change done and engine treatment.My vehicle is still moving.I don't won't to replace the engine if it can be saved. What are your suggestion?

There can be a lot of different things described as "clicking". Have a mechanic listen to it to get an idea of the cause. It could be a worn serpentine belt that's shredding. Lash adjusters in the top of the engine not pumping up due to wear or to low oil pressure. The serpentine belt spring-loaded tensioner could be weak. For the really serious stuff, a connecting rod bearing could be worn. That will get real bad real quickly. Depending on which engine you have, the timing belt could be deteriorating or the timing chain could be sloppy and hitting the sides of the housing.
