I want to do a coolant flush. I watched your YouTube video. But it seems that my vehicle is different than what is shown in the video. Down by the petcock there are two hoses in front of the drain and petcock. I am not able to really move them and do not know what they are. How do I drain the radiator with those two hoses in the way?

Thank you.

Hello, I am Danny.

I believe the two lines you are referring to are the automatic transmission cooler lines. Using the petcock is ideal to drain and also it drains faster with the radiator cap off. If you have adequate access to remove lower radiator hose that will drain really quick (have a pan ready). I have attached a link for you. Hope this helps and feel free to ask any questions if needed. Thanks for using 2CarPros.

Hi Danny,

Thanks for the reply,

Do not think that I can remove the lower hose or get the two hoses (transmission cooler lines?) out of the way. It looks easy when I watch YouTube videos. But when I try things, there is always something that gets in the way of me doing it! Guess I will need to take it in and pay big bucks to have it done. Thank you.

You are welcome!

Sorry to hear you are throwing in the towel. If you take it to a Jiffy Lube, or Econo-lube-n-tune they offer a flush service for less than a repair shop or dealership. Hope this helps and thanks again for using 2CarPros.
