2007 Dodge Caliber Just Replaced Alternator Now Car Starts Revs On Own One Time

I just replaced the alternator and now the car starts but it revs up on its own..one time all the warning lights came on and when we did drive it I had my foot to the floor on the gas pedal and I was barely moving.. I believe its electrical since this wasn't happening till the alternator went out and replaced it with a new one

re check your work for vacuum lines and wiring.

is the check engine light on??
