When my main headlights are on, the right hand headlight is on high beam and the left is on dip. If I select high beam on the control stalk then left light is high beam and right is dip beam. Could it be something as simple as the bulb not being fitted the correct way round? Looks a major job to access the bulbs to check. Not sure if it is a coincidence, but when I push indicator stalk up (to signal right) the dash lights dim intermittently as well as the stalk needing a fair bit of persuasion to remain selected. Any help please

If the switch is hard to use, the problem could be there. As far as the light being wired differently, has anything been replaced lately? Also, the dash lights dimming seems to indicate a ground problem.

Thank you for your speedy reply. I think I will start with having a look behind the steering wheel column. Only just purchased the vehicle. Just didn't pick up on it during test drive

Start by checking body grounds to make sure they are in good condition.
