Have a 2007 dodge caliber sxt and the Throttle control light came on is it just a sensor or is it something that needs looked at, shut car off and the throttle light didn't come back on

This has the same dangerous throttle system that put Toyota in the news. The common sense reliable throttle cable doesn't fit the engineers standards for complexity. This is one system you do not want to work on yourself. The dealer will retrieve stored diagnostic fault codes from the computer and record them. If no other service is needed, at least the problem will be documented in the event of a lawsuit in the future.

Dodge issued a recall last year on the accel pedal but nemerous things can caue throttle light to come on
