The central locking isn't working, the key fob is fine, when aim driving the dash tells me the drivers door is open, however it is secure and can be locked manually from the outside so the door must be shut properly? Any help much appreciated!

You may have a faulty door ajar switch, this would account for the door being closed and the light on and this would conflict with the central locking as it is being told that the door is still open.

Thanks! Do you know if that's a big/expensive job? Took it in to a few local garages but no one wants to do it?

Have never done this job, so I am not sure, I would ring a dealer and get a quote.
