Why is my car starter keep getting stuck while driving?

Car starter has been replaced 4 times n diagnostic on is nothing when processed through computer. Does whinning noise while driving car has to be put on neutral n cut off to restart otherwise will burnt out starter.

Does starter sound smooth when operated or noisy like gears are too tight?

Do u mean when starting car its smooth, but the times I'm driving the starter stalls and high pitch. That cat car caught on fire.
